Kristjan Sigurdson

As Managing Director of Endeavor Canada, Kristjan connects growth-stage entrepreneurs with resources, mentorship, and networks to scale their businesses and transform their communities. Prior to Endeavor, he spent a decade scaling the Creative Destruction Lab into one of the world's largest startup support organizations. Across multiple leadership roles, he helped expand CDL from a single office to 12 offices in six countries, admitting 650 startups annually. In 2021, he completed a PhD in Strategic Management at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. In his dissertation, he developed a novel method for quantifying the causal impact of innovation prizes like the XPRIZE and DARPA Grand Challenges. In 2013, he completed a Master of Arts in Higher Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. His master's thesis explored the rise and fall of the University of Toronto's Innovations Foundation from 1980 to 2006.
