Endeavor Catalyst was recently invited to participate in a funding round for Xertica (www.xertica.com), the leading Cloud Consulting company in Latin America, led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs Luis Arbulu, Saul Chrem, Antonio Couttolenc, and Andrés Cifuentes. Dalus Capital, a Mexican venture capital and early growth fund, led the round with additional participation from EMTV family office. Xertica operates in 5 countries – Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador – and was formed through the roll-up of the leading Google Cloud Partners in the region. The company is the #1 Google Cloud partner in Latam, enabling the digital transformation of over 3,000 firms.
Xertica’s $6.5 million dollar Series A round will allow the company to double its investment in its new Big Data, Analytics and Machine Learning service offerings. With a highly qualified and specialized team of 200 people, Xertica has implemented the most advanced technologies in Software, Infrastructure and Platform ‘as a Service’ modalities. Additionally, the company has developed a methodology which places an emphasis on the human side of technological change through in-person training and consulting services. The focus on this key component of implementation and change management enables Xertica to enhance the success of the enterprise digital transformation.
“We are observing a very fast transition of companies across all sectors towards public cloud storage and processing. This is occurring on a global scale and at an especially fast pace in Latin America. Thanks to its regional leadership and the unparallelled experience of its entrepreneurial team, Xertica is ideally positioned to take advantage of this market opportunity,” mentioned Diego Serebrisky, co-founding partner of Dalus Capital, who has joined Xertica’s Board of Directors.
The Xertica funding marks Endeavor Catalyst’s 69th investment and first investment in Peru, bringing Endeavor Catalyst’s presence to 21 countries. “Endeavor Catalyst is honored to participate in this round,” said Linda Rottenberg, CEO of Endeavor. “It’s very exciting to see a Peruvian company attract this level of international investment and we’re very excited to have the entrepreneurs and Dalus include us.”
