Endeavor Miami hosted its inaugural ScaleUP Summit on September 21, featuring inspiring stories from entrepreneurs and business leaders from Endeavor’s global network, research from Endeavor Insight, and showcases of companies led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs.
The conference drew over 250 attendees from the South Florida entrepreneurship ecosystem and community, including Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who spoke in support of Endeavor Miami during the event. Key Endeavor Miami supporters also participated, including the organization’s board, as well as Alberto Ibargüen, president of Knight Foundation, who led a conversation on how to conceive and execute an idea to scale, with Jim Kelvey, founder of Invisibly and co-founder of Square.
Other highlights of the agenda included an on-stage talk with Endeavor Co-Founder and Endeavor Miami Board Member Peter Kellner and Endeavor Entrepreneur Martin Migoya, who shared his story of founding and scaling Globant, and his journey from entrepreneur to mentor to Endeavor Board member; and an interview of serial entrepreneur Alexandra Wilkis Wilson (Co-Founder of Gilt, Glamsquad, and Fitz) by Endeavor Entrepreneur Johanna Mikkola (Wyncode).
During downtime between the lively sessions, attendees had the opportunity to network, while also exploring a showcase of products and services from Endeavor companies. The full speaker lineup of the event can be viewed here.
