Endeavor Entrepreneur Nasser Saleh of MadfooatCom was awarded the King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Order for Distinction of the Third Degree this May for disrupting online payments in Jordan and creating jobs. The high honor was bestowed upon Saleh during Jordan’s annual Independence Day celebrations on May 25 by King Abdullah II, who decorated a number of achievers — including other entrepreneurs, artists, and NGOs — during the event.
Launched in 2014 as the first online payment platform in Jordan, and selected the same year into the Endeavor network, MadfooatCom is a real-time bill presentment and payment system that enables the billers’ clients to inquire about and pay their bills via convenient and secure electronic channels.
Today, 92 percent of Jordanian banks and 70 percent of major billers, including the Jordanian government, utility companies and telecom companies, are integrated in the platform. With 11,000 bills processed daily, the app has helped Jordanians pay 3.3 million bills to-date, totally $1.5 billion.
