Led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs Brian and Scott Rudolph, food innovation company Banza announced the launch of its chickpea pasta product in all 1,700+ Target stores across the nation after a successful preliminary run in 315 Target stores. Now available in more than 4,000 stores, Banza will not only triple its retail distribution but also put themselves on the map in every state across the country.
“Our goal is to bring a better pasta to more people,” Brian commented in a statement released by the company. “This launch at Target is a tangible step towards that goal. We’re so grateful for Target’s belief in our potential, and for the Banza fans who made our first 315 stores a success.”
Banza’s chickpea pasta offers pasta-lovers a delicious, filling option that contains double the protein, four times the fiber, and nearly half the carbohydrates of wheat-based pastas. Since its retail launch with just two stores in 2014, the Michigan company has earned attention in major media outlets such as the New York Times for its innovative product and its role in the rapidly-growing Detroit entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Banza was selected as an Endeavor company at the 62nd international selection panel in Mexico City in December, 2015. Since then, brothers Brian and Scott have worked with Endeavor Detroit to champion the transformative power of entrepreneurship in Detroit, speaking at thought leadership events and sitting on Endeavor Detroit industry-specific panels to share their experience as founders in a rapidly changing city.
