RiseUp Summit Convenes Entrepreneurs, Investors, Media and Talent in Cairo

Cairo, Egypt – December, 2016 – More than 4,500 entrepreneurs, investors, media professionals and talent from around the world convened over three days in December at the 2016 RiseUp Summit in Cairo, an annual event co-organized and co-founded by Endeavor Egypt that offers an experience of activities and curated content catering to the needs of entrepreneurs at various stages of their business lifetime.

RiseUp began with a singular and enduring purpose: to connect startups to the most relevant resources worldwide. As a key partner of the event, Endeavor Egypt led “Scale-Up” programming and panels, featuring Endeavor network members such as entrepreneurs, mentors, board members and staff as speakers. Network members shared expertise on the potential of scale-ups to drive GDP and job growth in the economy, and delved into barriers to scale that many entrepreneurs in Egypt face. Topics covered in the panels included: anatomy of scale-ups, raising funds, compiling the right team, keys to being a successful CEO, and running family businesses.

In addition to Endeavor Egypt mentors, board members, entrepreneurs and staff, attendees also included representatives and entrepreneurs from Endeavor Jordan, Endeavor Morocco and Endeavor South Africa also attended the event.
