Shonaquip has impacted over 67,000 lives. Since selection by Endeavor, company revenues have grown by 127%.

Recognized as an expert in the manufacture and design of disability equipment by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health in South Africa, Shona is passionate about growing her company responsibly.

In 2009, Shona became a Schwab Fellow and received an Ernst & Young Social Entrepreneur award. In 2010, she won a Social World Economic Forum Schwab award for social entrepreneurship (see video clip below). Most recently, Shonaquip was featured (November 2010) on French national TV.

Endeavor and Shonaquip

At the end of 2010, Shona will launch Uhambo The Shonaquip Foundation, expanding the reach of the companies work in under resourced regions and advocating and lobbying for improved policies and services; Endeavor South Africa helped select members from its local network to sit on its board.

Endeavor continues to help Shona with networking contacts to foster growth.
