What if you had a tool that would get your employees to collaborate in the workplace as fluidly as they interact with friends on social networks like Facebook and Twitter? Veramiko, founded in 2006 by Vidal Cantú and Guillermo Farías, has developed InTeam.com, an online platform that does just that, providing companies with an integrated intranet solution that fosters organic workplace collaboration. InTeam.com has all of the features of social networks, such as profiles, “walls”, and news feeds, plus specialized business applications including project management tools, file sharing, wikis, and groups. InTeam’s market, Software as a Service (SaaS) for business collaboration, or Enterprise 2.0, is growing at 18% per year, and Veramiko is well poised to take advantage of this opportunity. After three years of targeted sales, the company is now releasing the product online to the mass market, with a focus on small and medium enterprises with 10 to 50 employees.
