Through its high-impact model, Endeavor Colombia has contributed to the strengthening of the social and human capital of the entrepreneurial community.
Endeavor Colombia was launched in 2006, with the first Colombian Endeavor Entrepreneur selected that same year. Colombia is the fifth-largest economy in Latin America in terms of GDP. Rising consumer confidence, easing credit terms, and falling unemployment have given rise to a strengthening middle class in Colombia.
As a result, Endeavor Colombia has already positioned itself as a leader in the entrepreneurial sector, acting as a hub for activities, conferences, and country-wide discussions about entrepreneurship. Endeavor Colombia’s Bogota-based office continues to strengthen the Endeavor brand, further promoting the concept of scaleups and the work of its high-impact entrepreneurs. The local office actively works with and for other entrepreneur organizations in the region in order to align the entrepreneurship sector in terms of a broader mission to promote the ecosystem. The Colombian government, along with the private sector and academia, is committed to fostering entrepreneurship in the country, with many schools and universities now including entrepreneurship courses in their curriculum.
