An Olympic down-hill skier from sunny Mexico, Carlos Mier y Teran is bringing an exotic aesthetic to his country’s burgeoning restaurant scene. Since founding Grupo MYT in 2003, Carlos has built two successful restaurant brands operating 13 dining outlets in trendy areas of Mexico: La Crepe Parisienne, Mexico’s first fast-food crepe shop, and Moshi Moshi, Mexico’s only conveyor-belt sushi restaurant. A charismatic and creative restauranteur, Carlos strives to constantly push the boundaries of Mexico’s dining industry. With a plan to open 30 more restaurants by 2011, he’ll race and beat his competitors as he leads Grupo MYT through its next phase of exponential growth. Carlos was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in May 2009.
