Argentine Entrepreneur company Oasis Collections, founded by Parker Stanberry, recently announced that AccorHotels has acquired a 30% stake in the company. Launched in Buenos Aires in 2009, Oasis Collections offers a curated marketplace of 1,500 properties for rent in 18 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
Pioneering a “home meets hotel” concept, Oasis aims to offer curated accommodations by blending the value and authenticity of private rentals with the service, quality-control and amenities of a hotel. Providing personalized services to leisure and corporate guests alike – including on-the-ground concierge service and access to members’ club venues – the service also targets international travelers for home owners.
“We are pleased and proud to have AccorHotels alongside us and to benefit from its experience as a global operator and its support in infrastructure and demand generation,” said Parker Stanberry. “We share the same hospitality DNA, and this partnership will give us the means to match our ambition to reach 70 top key cities by 2019.”
AccorHotels is a hotel group that manages a portfolio of over 3,800 properties in 92 countries, including brands like Sofitel, Novotel and ibis. This acquisition news demonstrates a commitment to Oasis’ scalable model and potential for job creation and high-impact growth. Oasis was selected into the Endeavor network in 2014 and the team has since received introductions to top investors through the Endeavor Investor Network and mentoring from the global network.
