Paul J. Fribourg has been the President of Contigroup Companies Inc. (formerly Continental Grain Company) since 1994 and its Chief Executive Officer since April 1997 and Chairman since 1999.
Since 1976, he has held numerous positions with Continental Grain Company, including President and Chief Operating Officer from 1994 to 1997. From April 1990 to June 1994, Mr. Fribourg served as an Executive Vice President of the Bulk Commodities Group of ContiGroup. He has been Chairman of the Board of ContiGroup Companies, Inc. since 1999.
Mr. Fribourg has been a Director of Estee Lauder Companies Inc. since April 2006. He has been a Director of Loews Corp., a diversified holding company the main interest of which is insurance since 1997. Mr. Fribourg has been a Director of Power Corp. of Canada since May 10, 2005. He has been a Director of Premium Standard Farms Inc. (formerly PSF Group Holdings Inc.) since May 1998. He has been a Director of Contitrade Services Corp. (formerly known as ContiFinancial Corp.) since October 1995. He has served as a director of Smithfield Foods Inc. since May 7, 2007. Mr. Fribourg serves as Member of the Board of Directors of Carolina Group. He is a Member of Investment Committee at Arlon Group, LLC. Mr. Fribourg served as Member of the Supervisory Board of Vivendi (formerly, Vivendi Universal SA) from April 28, 2005 to June 7, 2006 and as its Director since January 2003. He served as a Director of Wyndham International Inc., since June 1999. Mr. Fribourg was Chairman of the Board of Governors of Lauder Institute, a graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Fribourg serves as a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the National Advisory Board of JPMorgan Chase, and the Rabobank International North American Agribusiness Advisory Board. He serves as a Director of Browning School, New York University, Harvard Business School (Board of Deans Advisors), Nightingale-Bamford School, the YMCA of Greater New York, Appeal of Conscience Foundation, Lauder Institute/Wharton Business School, Park East Synagogue, America-China Society and Public Theater.
Mr. Fribourg holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Amherst College and completed the Advanced Management Degree at Harvard Business School.
