A doctor turned entrepreneur, Paulino is improving Mexico’s health care system with Primedic, a low-cost, high-quality health care membership organization. The company caters to employers and employees who are dissatisfied with their insurance policies — policies which leave 54% (US$27.1 billion) of all health care costs in Mexico to be paid out-of-pocket. At the point of selection, Paulino operated four clinics and had over 8,000 members.
Primedic continues to increase its visibility through media appearances, a feature in the book The New Face of Mexico, and an upcoming HBS case study. In 2009, Paulino became an Ashoka fellow.
Endeavor and Primedic
Through Endeavor, Paulino was able to obtain equity investment from a Mexican VentureCorps member. In addition to local mentorship, Paulino participated in an Immersion Tour.
Paulino demonstrates commitment by participating in numerous Endeavor events.
