Rising from humble beginnings, Marroquinera now has the luxury to think big. The luxury leather manufacturer and fashion retailer began in 1978 with three sewing machines and now delivers products handcrafted in Colombia to over 110 points of sale in Latin America. Since its inception 17 years ago, the company’s flagship brand, MARIO HERNÁNDEZ, has become Colombia’s most well-known brand, providing high-quality luxury products at “affordable luxury” prices. In 2009, the company launched *FLY, a new brand focusing on low-cost design to reach a different set of customers. Marroquinera aspires to transition from family-owned company to a world-class, internationally competitive affordable luxury brand.
