“Our business is to assume the stress of others,” says Alexandre, the entrepreneur behind Pigatto — Brazil’s leading express transport logistics company specializing in critical, complex and emergency situations. For clients, the question isn’t how much Pigatto’s services cost but how much they are worth, enabling the company to charge premium fees in contrast to more standard transport competitors. The company has more than 400 clients — including Volkswagen, GM and Federal Express. In 2008, Pigatto won the award for best logistics supplier in a Brazilian field study.
