  • Inudstries Technology

After graduating from the University of Capetown (UCT) in 2005, Wilter enlisted two fellow UCT graduates to work with him on his first venture, Yeigo, an innovative Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider. Yeigo offers a software application that allows VoIP technology to operate on mobile phones, providing voice, SMS, and chat services at rates dramatically lower than those of traditional mobile service providers.

Wilter left Yeigo in 2008, after helping the company raise angel funding. He currently serves as CEO of Virtual Mobile Technologies (VMT), a mobile enterprise application platform he cofounded with his brother, Arno. VMT creates products that enable clients to extend the reach of their enterprise services—ranging from e-commerce and advertising to relationship management and customer service—to mobile devices. VMT products support all platforms and work on all mobile phones, from simple, old LCD phones to the most advanced smart phones. This focus on older phones is critical for VMT‘’s planned expansion in developing countries, where internet and smartphone penetration is low but penetration of mobile devices is high.
