In a US$2.2 billion industry that lacks a significant online presence, Petsy has become the leading online provider of pet supplies. Launched in June 2013, Petsy offers the widest and best selection of premium food, accessories, and care & maintenance products in Mexico. A fast, convenient, and affordable way to shop, Petsy ensures that pets receive the best care through its wide selection of competitively-priced pet supplies. In addition to its competitive prices, comprehensive product offerings, and quick deliveries, Petsy encourages transparency through online customer reviews and offers access to a veterinarian for on-site consultations.

The company has experienced 35% monthly revenue growth, with 42% of customers returning to purchase additional items. Petsy sources products from 20 suppliers and is negotiating a deal to become Royal Canin’s preferred online distributor. Petsy is developing partnerships with four leading international brands whose Mexican subsidiaries are searching for reliable partners to aid their transition locally to online sales. The company also aims to guarantee 24-hour delivery and ensure that 95% of orders are problem-free. Once they have achieved this, Toby and Pablo plan to leverage Petsy’s existing model, replicating it across other untapped e-commerce verticals.

Toby and Pablo have sought Endeavor’s guidance in transforming their company from a bootstrapped startup to a mid-size company. Their major challenge to this is establishing sound operational processes, with which Endeavor’s global network is more than capable to help. To fuel its scale-up, Petsy is also looking to hire top talent and raise US$3 million in funding. The rapidly growing e-commerce sector in Mexico provides ample room for the company to grow, transforming customer service expectations along the way.
