The first personal assistance service company in Egypt, Mashaweer (Arabic for “errands”) is dedicated to saving its clients’ time and effort by acting as a full-time personal assistant at a part-time cost. Launched in Alexandria in 2010, Mashaweer has grown to serve customers and businesses in Alexandria and Cairo.

Natives of Alexandria, Mashaweer founders Mohamed Wahid, Ahmed El Kordy, and Aly El Shazly have been friends since childhood. Ahmed and Mohamed both graduated from the Arab Academy of Science and Technology. A graduate of Alexandria University, Aly brings excellent interpersonal and communications skills to the Mashaweer team.

In 2009, just weeks away from his wedding, Mohamed noticed that his fiancée was knee-deep in wedding preparations. Fortunately, she has a full-time driver who she could rely on to help with her errands. Mohamed had the idea for an on-demand personal assistance business, and thus Mashaweer was born.

Mashaweer offers individuals and businesses a diverse range of customized same day personal assistance and delivery services at any hour, every day. Customers call the Mashaweer hotline and within minutes are put at ease knowing that they have someone running errands on their behalf. The personal assistants, referred to as “riders”, receive tasks one at a time on a GPS device, enabling them to move from task to task quickly.

Mashaweer’s investment in its technological infrastructure enables the company to deliver a high-quality experience to each customer. This also enables the company to scale both within Egypt and the Middle East.
