Felipe Herrera is helping bring the explosively successful flash sales model to Latin America, where eCommerce is growing steadily. In addition to flash sales, Felipe has bolstered his relationships with premium brands in Latin America by providing a range of eCommerce services.
Born and raised in Argentina, Felipe moved to Paris to live with his father when he was 21. He studied at Université Dauphine, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a Master’s in marketing and management. He worked for software engineering firms until 2009 when he decided it was time to start his own business.
Ventas-Privadas launched in 2010 with international brands along with some local Argentine brands. Though Felipe was still involved with some of his earlier B2C businesses, in 2011, with encouragement from Globant’s Martin Migoya, he decided to leave his other ventures and dedicate himself completely to V-P.
Today, V-P allows vendors to offload overstocked items at deep discounts by creating a premium channel to reach consumers who are looking for top brand items at affordable prices. The company offers a wide range of goods in its flash sales, and discounts up to 70%. V-P provides a valuable service to vendors, such as increasing stock rotation. Further, V-P delivers excellent customer service, particularly using its network of PaqueCity pickup points that allow clients to pick up purchases at various locations. These services, combined with free product returns, allow V-P to provide an unmatched level of customer service in Argentina.
